NU Club of LA

In a city that is home to over 6,000 NU alums, the goal of the NU Club of LA is to be a valued resource for its members — providing programs and services while at the same time strengthening ties to NU. Our programming includes career networking events, museum & gallery tours, author & theater events, NU football game watching parties at Rush Street, trips to Dodger & Kings games, as well as presentations by visiting NU faculty. We also give back to the local community through public service & philanthropic events. Every year we sponsor a holiday cocktail party & toy drive benefitting the Children’s Institute, a non-profit organization specializing in the treatment and prevention of child abuse & neglect. Be sure to like the NU Club of LA on Facebook!

Council of One Hundred

The members of the Council of One Hundred (C100) are leaders in our chosen professions who serve as career and life advisors and mentors. We share our knowledge and experience with students, young alumnae, and each other. Our focus is on women, career, family, and life issues. Over the years, C100 has found a continued need of young women for “specialized” advice and mentoring from others who understand and have experienced first-hand the professional and personal challenges that women face in their career journeys. In serving our mission, we hold two meetings in the Chicago area, as well as more informal summer “socials” in major cities (including LA), where we bring together local Council members with current students and young alumnae.

Medill Club of Southern California

The Medill Alumni Club of Southern California provides social, educational and networking opportunities for Medill alumni in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. Events are held periodically throughout the year, from industry panels to happy hours to our annual Summer Social. Past panelists and guest speakers include ESPN columnist and commentator, J.A. Adande (BSJ ’92), bestselling authors Hope Edelman (BSJ ’86) and Neal Pollack (BSJ ’92), and Food Network Star Aarti Sequeira (BSJ ’00).

Kellogg Alumni Club of LA

The Kellogg Alumni Club of Los Angeles (KACLA) serves Kellogg alums from Orange County to the Valley. Our mission is to continue to enhance the Kellogg experience in our local community. We focus on thought leadership (personal and professional), elevating Kellogg in the community, and engaging alums. In addition to annual events (December happy hour & July summer event), KACLA hosts quarterly “neighborhood dinners,” which provide an opportunity for you to get dinner with 10-15 local alums in your area. Please join our Facebook and LinkedIn groups to stay connected, and sign up for our e-mails through the Kellogg Alumni website (go to Account Preferences –> Email Subscriptions –> Regional Clubs –> Los Angeles).

Northwestern Law Alumni Club of LA

The Northwestern Law Alumni Club of Los Angeles provides opportunities for alumni to maintain a connection with one another and the Law School through professional, social, philanthropic and academic activities. All alumni are automatically members of their local alumni club. Check us out on Facebook!
