What happens when you mix five Northwestern Alumni with a driving desire to succeed, add one successful actress with worldwide appeal and sprinkle in a network willing to take chances? You get the recipe for the new CW hit show, RINGER, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Join us as we spend the evening with showrunners / co-creators Eric Charmelo & Nicole Snyder, co-producer Cathryn Humphris, supervising producer Hank Chilton and casting director Michael Testa. We’ll discuss their paths from being new NU graduates arriving in Los Angeles, to working in the industry on shows like Supernatural, Mad Men, Nip/Tuck, Roswell, Make It Or Break It and, of course, Ringer!
We’ll also talk about getting your first job, the dynamics of being in the writer’s room (aka keeping your job!), creating and selling pilots, casting shows, hiring writers and the nitty-gritty of being a showrunner.
