Keynote Address by Mr. Ken Ziffren (NU Class of 1962), appointed LA Film Czar in early 2014
Mr. Ziffren is the co-founder and partner of Ziffren Brittenham, LLP and has been influential in mediating Hollywood disputes, including the Writers Guild of America strike, NFL Network contracts, Microsoft forming MSNBC, DirecTV, Starz! and represented the TV Academy in negotiating the deals for the Emmys. As the LA Film Czar, Mr. Ziffren will continue to spearhead an effort to stem the exodus of film and TV production to other states and countries. Mr. Ziffren also serves as a lecturer and writer on entertainment law and serves as an Adjunct Professor at UCLA School of Law. He acts as the Senior Advisor to the LA Mayor’s Office of Motion Picture and TV Production.
